Quick fixes (try these first)
Save My Clips is a small, focused downloader, so almost every problem falls into one of four buckets. Run through these before emailing, you'll usually be downloading within a minute.
"No downloadable video found at that URL"
- Make sure the link is from a public Spotlight, Story or profile post. Private Snaps, friends-only Stories and Memories will never resolve.
- Open the URL in an incognito browser. If you have to log into Snapchat to view it, our downloader can't see it either.
- If it's a
t.snapchat.comshort link, paste the full link after Snapchat redirects you (copy from the browser address bar). - Some longer Spotlight clips are served as HLS adaptive streams, which our free tier doesn't repackage. Try a different video.
The download never starts
- Browser pop-up blockers occasionally swallow the save dialog. Click the address-bar pop-up icon and allow downloads from savemyclips.com.
- Some content blockers (uBlock, Brave Shields) treat large file streams as suspicious. Whitelist this site for one click and try again.
- If you're on iOS Safari, the file may save to Files → Downloads rather than Photos. Long-press it there and choose "Save to Photos".
The downloaded file won't play
- We always deliver a standard MP4 (H.264/AAC) file. If your player chokes on it, try VLC, it handles every MP4 variant Snapchat puts out.
- If the file size is <50 KB, the download was interrupted; rerun it.
The site looks broken on my browser
- Save My Clips supports the latest two versions of Chrome, Safari, Firefox and Edge. Very old browsers may render parts of the design oddly but the downloader still works.
- Try a hard refresh:
Ctrl+Shift+R(Windows/Linux) orCmd+Shift+R(Mac).

Report a broken link or bug
If a URL consistently fails to resolve even though it's public, that's exactly the kind of report that helps us improve the resolver. Email us with:
- The exact Snapchat URL you tried.
- What browser and device you used.
- The exact error text (a screenshot is fine).

What we can't help with
- Snapchat account problems, login, lost streaks, banned account, etc. Contact Snapchat Support directly.
- Recovering deleted Snaps or Memories, once Snapchat removes content from their servers, no third-party tool can bring it back.
- Downloading private content, we will not help bypass anyone's privacy settings.
